Summary for 5x04: When Will informs the kids that one of their major competitors at Nationals this year will be “Throat Explosion” - a renowned show choir with a frightening reputation for “living and performing on the edge” – the gleeks worry that the rival group of uber-talented social misfits has co-opted their “outcast” niche… and do it better. Will challenges the kids to get out of their comfort zones and assigns them the music of Katy Perry and Lady Gaga with the caveat that those who self-identify as a ‘Gagas’ must sing ‘Katy’ songs and vice-versa. The weekly assignment begins to pervade the gleeks’ everyday lives, inspiring several of them to explore life outside of their comfort zones, and proves a liability for one gleek who refuses to try. Meanwhile, feeling overshadowed by Rachel and Santana’s recent successes, Kurt decides his best shot at achieving mainstream fame is by starting his own band, so he asks Rachel, Santana, and her new girlfriend, Dani, to join. While everyone is blown away by the audition of an overly bold singer who calls himself Starchild, Kurt balks at asking him to join the group, worried he’ll be overshadowed by the dazzling performer.
Episode 7 is called "Puppet Master" and here are the songs: Cheek To Cheek Into The Groove Nasty/Rhythm Nation You’re My Best Friend We Can’t Stop Don’t You (Forget About Me)
As usual I liked the NY part better. Kurt making an band with Rachel, Santana, Dani and Starchild. Thats great. Adam was awesome! I hope he will be here for more episodes. Loved his version of "Wild awake". Rachel & Kurts friendship is so loveley. I do understand that he is a bit jelous of Rachel and Santana. Also glad that Demi was back (she killed the high note on "Roar"!), she totally fits into this group.
McKinley: Katy vs Gaga. Good idea actually. The one thing i thought was unfair was punishing Marley for beeing who she is. If she don´t want to wear a Gaga outfit she don´t has to. I do hope that Jake didn´t cheat on Marley. another thing..how funny did look Blaine as Gaga! and Sam´s hot
My fav song was "Roar". But i´d have preferd if we got this song only sung by the NY people.
I really like this one too! I pretty much agree with everything you just said Karin so I'm gonna keep it short.
I'm not a fan of Katy Perry or Lady Gaga, but the number were good. I like the Katy's songs better.
The NY part was the best. We saw a lot of Kurt, which is always good for me. The band idea is great, I'm glad that Rachel joined it and I like Starchild! Marry The Night was great!
For the McKinley part, I liked the part with Sam and Penny. And I even like the storyline of Marley! I felt bad for her and I hope Jake didn't cheat on her because it would be very lame to cheat on her but the reason that she's not ready to be intimate with him... My eyes are still burning because of Blaine's costume.. Horrible! I felt bad for him, having to were this it must have been so uncomfortable! I like "Roar", it was a great group number!
Watched "The end of twerk" and honestly I don´t like it. maybe its just my opinion but this episode was one of the worst this season. Way to much toilet and bathroom talk, Will trying an "rebellion Sue" totally failed, he looked like an little child. Jake really did cheat on Marley, stupid. No Santana. and lots of weird twerking. I also didn´t like the songs much (i have to admit that I like "wrecking ball, even if its a Miley song)
The good part about it was definitly the NY part, was funny seeing Kurt & Rachel going wild. But i don´t like Kurts tattoo Rachel´s secret tattoo is nice though. Unique´s story was nice too, well i don´t care much for him so it was to much Unique in this episode for me.
I kind of agree with what you said Karin, the NY part save the episode for me..
So.. NY! I love the friendship between Rachel and Kurt. The tatoo story for Kurt was really fun and he even got his tongue pierced! I bet by the next episode he won't have it anymore though.. For Rachel, it was really touching, she got a tatoo when only her can see it and she didn't tell anybody, it's her secret and I thought it was really sweet.
For McKinley.. Ew.. I heard twerk, I think that say enough.. It could have been nice, but wayyyyy too much Will and Unique and twerking.. What kind of teacher twerk with his students? To that's horrible song "Blurred Lines"... Thanksfully Sue was here to had some fun and great lines to this episode. For Unique.. The story was interesting but I'm sorry I can't really stand her either.. I don't know why, I just don't like her character.. For bathroom, do like we do in French schools, the bathrooms are so discusting that we don't go in them! Problem solve For Marley.. She became okay but the "Wrecking Ball performance", way too much.. They could have stay simple with just her singing in the audotorium but no they made her do like Miley and it became ridiculous.. And really, the only good "Wrecking Ball" song is this one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=UObsO7KbmLg
But I like the group performance at the end of the episode.

^^just had to laugh at your line "What kind of teacher twerk with his students" True, image you twerk with your teachers. awkard! Also agree with the Marley part, I was like "Really, an wrecking ball" (at least she has clothes on )
Way better than last weeks epsiode! Blaine & Sam in NY!! If there´s gonna be a Season 6, the best would be if they are just gonna make the show about Rachel, Santana, Kurt, Blaine and Sam in NY. The best song of it was Movin´out for me. Love the Sam/Blaine friendship. Also liked "My life" Blaine will be accepted for NYADA for sure, and Sam has a pretty good chance to become a male model. A thing that I don´t like was the "loose 10 pounds" thing. Noticed the looks between Rachel and Sam. I don´t know what i should think of that yet. Let´s see if some storyline is going on there.
Great episode for the NY side... And for Billy Joel's songs! I'm not gonna talk about about the McKinley since it was boring at hell.. A love triangle again.. Bleh.. At least, they all sung Billy Joel's songs! I thought it was getting better but when the McKinley part isn't about Sam, Blaine, Tina or Artie it's really boring... Well, a positive point, I really like Becky's storyline it was really sweet and I'll be sad when she will graduate and we won't see her again..
But I loved the NY part, so just for that I'll say that the episode was great! I can't wait for Sam and Blaine to move to NY! Why can't they just graduate already? Apparently they will graduate in episode 14 and move the show to NY and we'll see McKinley sometimes, the major of the episode will be in NY! I just love Blaine and Sam friendship, they're so great together! "Movin' Out" was great! Probably the best performance of the episode! Sam wants to be model, well it can be fun! I loved the scene when he's in Miss Bichette's office, it was really fun! But I don't want Sam and Rachel together! No.. Stay friends please! As Karin said, I'm sure Blaine will get in NYADA too, I was kinda disapointed we didn't see his audition. I liked tha fact that we saw him nervous about his future. I love how Kurt react, it was really sweet. "Piano Man" was great aswell. Do you remember that Neil Patrick Harris's character Bryan Ryan sung it back in season 1?
