“They say death is hardest on the living. It’s tough to actually say goodbye. Sometimes, it’s impossible. You never really stop feeling the loss. It’s what makes things so bittersweet. We leave little bits of ourselves behind, little reminders. A lifetime of memories, photos, trinkets. Things to remember us by even when we’re gone.”
It happens to everyone as they grow up. You find out who you are and what you want, and then you realize that people you’ve known forever don’t see things the way you do. So you keep the wonderful memories, but find yourself moving on.
I can totally relate to this, and I know everyone else can too. Nobody is perfect; everybody makes mistakes, and that's part of being human. However, we all should just be thankful for having people in our lives who have been unconditionally loving and compassionate to us as they know how we really are.
"Water off a duck's back... Just let that shit roll right off you; once you've learned to do that, you'll feel way less insecure, and just not give a fuck."
"I think you'd also benefit by saying some nice things about yourself every day; just say them in your head. Tell yourself that you're only human; tell yourself that you're a good person; tell yourself that you are worth something; tell yourself that you matter, and that you have many friends who love and adore you. Say Shssssssss to the other voices."
