I'm sure Kevin and Fangs will get close to each other very soon, and I'll be happy about it. They might talk about Joaquin, since Kevin had been in a relationship with Joaquin, and Fangs used to hang out with Joaquin, and Joaquin talked about Kevin all the time with Fangs. Kevin may not think he can hook up with someone named Fangs at the moment, but I'm sure he'll change his mind later. I feel like this scene has predicted it: I also feel like this has given it away. Apparently, Kevin and Fangs will work closely together on a musical at Riverdale High School in Episode 2x18 ("Chapter Thirty-One: A Night To Remember"). Kevin is the director, and Fangs is the assistant director. But I'll keep praying for Joaquin's return. Casey Cott, who plays Kevin Keller, has confirmed recently that Kevin will have a love interest by the end of this season and it will develop more in the next season.
The way he stated this, he could be hinting that Joaquin comes back. He didn't exactly say it's a new love interest, so it may be an old one (a.k.a. Joaquin) - I really hope so! 🤞

Like I said earlier, I hope this is a hint that Joaquin returns. Btw, the Season 2 finale will air on May 16th.

Even though Joaquin was a member of a local biker gang called the Southside Serpents, he wasn't really a bad guy. He was sweet and a good person at heart.
Joaquin did make a mistake helping FP cover up Jason Blossom's murder which was committed by Jason's own father Clifford Blossom in the basement of the Whyte Wyrm (Serpent bar). But, Joaquin is just a youngin, and human, and he was scared that something brutal could happen to him if he refused to do what FP told him to do. (FP is the leader of the Serpents, so he's the boss.) Joaquin wasn't even at Whyte Wyrm at the time Clifford shot Jason, so he didn't know exactly what happened there before he arrived there due to FP calling him for help (FP just said that he needed help cleaning up a mess and that was it). And then once he arrived there, he had no way to back out.
FP was covering up for Clifford, because Clifford threatened to kill FP's son Jughead the same way he did to his own son Jason, if FP exposed the truth about Jason's murder to the police. And FP was relying on Joaquin to help him out.
FP was just being a good father, saving his son's life. But, I don't like that he dragged Joaquin into the cover-up, though he played a bigger part in the cover-up than Joaquin did.
Like Skeet Ulrich said, sometimes people do bad things for good reasons. (Skeet Ulrich is the actor who plays FP.)
However.... FP recorded the crime scene on the surveillance camera at the Whyte Wyrm, and he saved the footage onto a USB flash drive. He kept the flash drive in Jason's varsity jacket. He later gave the jacket to Joaquin and told him to keep it in a safe place as it was their insurance in case everything went to hell. Eventually, FP got framed for murdering Jason and sent to prison. Then, before leaving town, Joaquin left behind Jason's jacket with the flash drive in it out in the open, for the Northside gang to find it and find out that Clifford Blossom was the actual culprit of murdering his own son Jason. (FP eventually got released from prison in the eighth episode of Season 2.)
FP ordered Joaquin to date Kevin, Sheriff Keller's son, to get information on Jason's murder case and monitor Sheriff Keller's progress. But, Joaquin developed genuine feelings for Kevin. So, he was being romantic, affectionate and sexual with Kevin, just because he was so in love with him. He didn't even care that he was letting FP down by giving Kevin so much love, although at the same time he knew that FP needed help. He was even brave enough to stand up for Kevin against FP. I think this is definitely something that proves how much Joaquin loved and cared for Kevin.
(Joaquin didn't know who Kevin is before they met, and during the first time he met Kevin, he was surprised to find out that Kevin is Sheriff Keller's son. Then he talked about Kevin a lot with his friend Fangs, and that's presumably how FP found out.)
Towards the end of Season 1, Joaquin was getting ready to leave town after confessing his involvement in the Jason cover-up to Kevin, Archie and Veronica. Although at heart, he was very sad, felt so bad about everything, was reluctant to leave and wanted to stay with Kevin. Before he took off on the bus to San Junipero, he was worried about Kevin and tried to protect him. Also, Kevin kissed him, and then he told Kevin that he was going to miss him.
During Kevin and Fangs's first interaction in the student lounge at Riverdale High, Fangs told Kevin that he and Joaquin used to hang out, and Joaquin talked about Kevin all the time (and that's how Fangs already knew Kevin's last name before he met Kevin).
I really hope Joaquin does come back by the end of this season. I strongly feel that he and Kevin deserve a second chance.

I agree with Lili. Honestly, I think Casey Cott has such an irresistible voice, and I could listen to him sing all day every day. I hope to hear more of Kevin singing on this show.

Kevin has spent this season making bad decisions. But hopefully, now that Joaquin is back, Kevin can be put back on the right path.

I totally disagree with those who believe that Joaquin has never had feelings for Kevin and was only using him throughout their relationship. Despite that FP ordered Joaquin to date Kevin, Sheriff Keller's son, to get info on Jason's murder case and monitor Sheriff Keller's progress, Joaquin developed genuine feelings for Kevin. So, he was being romantic, affectionate and sexual with Kevin, just because he was so in love with him. He didn't even care that he was letting FP down by giving Kevin so much love, although at the same time he knew that FP needed help. He was even brave enough to stand up for Kevin against FP. Before Joaquin sadly left town when things went to hell, he was worried about Kevin and tried to protect him, and also Kevin gave him one last kiss, and then he told Kevin that he was going to miss him. And, Joaquin's friend Fangs told Kevin that Joaquin talked about him all the time. So, Joaquin definitely has truly loved and cared for Kevin. (Joaquin didn't know who Kevin is before they met, and during the first time he met Kevin, he was surprised to find out that Kevin is Sheriff Keller's son. Then he talked about Kevin a lot with his friend Fangs, and that's presumably how FP found out.) Side notes: - That whole Jason Blossom situation wasn't really Joaquin's fault, FP dragged him into the cover-up. Though, FP played a bigger part in the cover-up than Joaquin did.
- Joaquin and FP covered up Jason's murder only for a good reason, which was to save Jughead from Jason's father/killer Clifford Blossom who threatened to kill Jughead the same way he did to his own son, if FP exposed the truth about Jason's murder, or commanded Joaquin to do so. Joaquin was also afraid that he could get hurt too if he backed out when FP was dragging him into this. However, it's thanks to Joaquin that Kevin and his friends solved the case.
- So many fans, including myself, love Joaquin so much and ship him with Kevin so hard. We all got super excited when Joaquin came back, and we really hope he stays and somehow reunites with Kevin. And, of course, we all consider Joavin to be endgame. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who loves Joaquin and ships Joavin.

As far as Kevin's other relationships go... - Moose was using Kevin, cheating on his girlfriend Midge.
- Chic was an adult webcamming with an underage teen.
I don't see how Kevin could be happy with these options. I personally will be so irked if Kevin and Moose become a thing so soon after Midge got murdered recently. That will make me feel even more awfully bad for poor Midge. She was a very sweet girl and deserved so much better. - Moose repeatedly tried to cheat on Midge with Kevin.
- At one point, Moose told Kevin that Midge knew all about the two of them and was fine with it, then it turned out that he was lying and Midge actually knew nothing about it, and surely this brought Kevin down.
- Also, Midge was being nice to Kevin and she wanted to help him find a man. But after a while, Kevin inexplicably became interested in Moose again, even when Moose and Midge were still together and he was totally aware of it.
- During the scene in which they were backstage singing "A Night We'll Never Forget" while getting ready for the show Carrie: The Musical, Moose even said directly to Kevin, "Damn, we better get laid," right in front of Midge, much to her dismay. This presumably caused Midge to become suspicious that Moose was lying to her and cheating on her with Kevin, and decide to look for some fun of her own, which possibly explains why Fangs secretly had a fling with Midge in her dressing room. Then Moose even had the audacity to get pissed when he caught Midge cheating on him with Fangs. All of this happened just before Midge got murdered by the Black Hood on stage during the show.
As Kevin is usually a nice guy, I personally would never ship him with anyone who's a psycho such as Chic. Chic was creepy as hell and turned out to be someone dangerous, as well as that he was actually an impostor and not related to the Coopers at all. He murdered the boy who was actually Betty and Jughead's half brother / Alice and FP's son (FP and Alice had him together while they were still in high school, but then they gave him up for adoption). Side note: Chic was last seen being chased by the Black Hood, but his fate is currently unknown. As far as Kevin and Fangs go, there hasn't been a lot of interaction between these two. A while after they briefly interacted when meeting for the first time at Riverdale High... - Kevin said that he won't date Fangs because of his name.
- Later on, Kevin randomly hired Fangs to be his co-director for Carrie: The Musical, but then he went on to ignore Fangs and not listen to anything he wanted to say, and later he got annoyed that Fangs was giving his attention to someone else.
- And, right now, Kevin fully believes that Fangs was the one who killed Midge, since he found out about the leaked footage of Fangs with Midge in her dressing room, as well as that Fangs was secretly carrying a knife in his pocket. So, he's totally siding with Moose and has joined him and some other Bulldogs (Riverdale High's football team) in the "Dark Circle" gang led by Reggie, and they're taking revenge on the Southside.
Side note: Fangs suddenly got shot right after getting out of jail at the end of last week's episode, but hopefully he'll pull through and find peace. Fangs deserves better.

To be honest, this tweet got me really worried about Joaquin the other day. Though, this one put me a little at ease hours before I saw this episode. Then I saw this episode last night, and now I feel relieved to know Joaquin is fine. He wasn't in this episode though. I know Casey said that Kevin finds love in the finale episode which airs next week. I've seen that Casey was filming scenes at the place they use for filming the Whyte Wyrm (Serpent bar) scenes, during one of the last weeks of filming Season 2. I've also heard that Rob was on set during this time frame too. So, Joavin reunion? Casey uploaded this brief video of himself in the "Whyte Wyrm" via Instagram Story during one of his last days of filming Season 2. Rob tweeted this gif from Season 1 not long before they started working on the finale episode. I feel like this is a hint at Joaquin's comeback. I think I know what this means.
