I agree with this tweet 100%, and so does Rob. I really love that he ships Joavin so much as well.

Why I don't ship Kevin and Moose:
Why I don't ship Kevin with Fangs:
Why I ship Kevin and Joaquin:
Side note: I'm really glad that Kevin and Chic never became a thing, and it's thanks to Betty. But again, I also hate Kevin and Moose together.

Why I don't ship Kevin and Moose:
- First off, Moose had a girlfriend, and her name was Midge. So, when Midge was alive, Moose repeatedly cheated on her with Kevin. He told Kevin that he was up for getting laid and anything with him, while he had no issue cheating on Midge, though he refused to kiss him. He wouldn't ever legitimately have a relationship with Kevin during Midge's existence. So, basically, he was giving Kevin hope and then ditching him. At one point, Moose even lied to Kevin that Midge knew all about the two of them and was fine with it, when Midge actually knew nothing about it. Kevin later realized that Moose had lied to him, and of course this brought him down. Also, Midge wanted to help Kevin find a man, but after a while, Kevin inexplicably became interested in Moose again, even when Moose and Midge were still together and he was totally aware of it. During the scene in which they were backstage singing "A Night We'll Never Forget" while preparing for Riverdale High School's opening night of Carrie: The Musical, Moose even said directly to Kevin, "Damn, we better get laid," right in front of Midge, much to her dismay. That presumably caused Midge to become suspicious that Moose was lying to her and cheating on her with Kevin, and decide to look for some fun of her own, which possibly explains why Fangs secretly had a fling with Midge in her dressing room. Then Moose even had the audacity to get pissed off when he caught Midge cheating on him with Fangs. All of that happened just before Midge got murdered by the Black Hood on stage during the show. Now that Midge is dead, Moose has been so heartbroken over her, and it seems as if Kevin is just a rebound for him. And, I honestly got the impression that, during the kiss in the men's restroom, Kevin was thinking to himself, "Yay... I can bang Moose now! Thanks Midge for getting killed so conveniently!" Midge deserved so much better, and Kevin deserves a proper love interest.
- Also, late in Season 2, it seemed as if Moose was bringing out the worst in Kevin. They bonded over their hatred for the Southside, and they were involved in the "Dark Circle" gang together. They took part in targeting the Serpents and vandalizing the Southside, and they got away with it, as they were fully convinced that Fangs was the one who killed Midge, even though exactly NONE of the Serpents had anything to do with Midge's murder. Kevin was totally out of character in this case. This was awful.
Why I don't ship Kevin with Fangs:
- Firstly, Kevin judged Fangs by his name and said that he won't date him because of it. Yet, he wants dick from a guy named Moose, and he also had been interested in a guy named Chic ("chick" = baby bird).
- Secondly, after randomly hiring Fangs to be his co-director for Carrie: The Musical, Kevin went on to ignore Fangs and not listen to anything he wanted to say, and later he got annoyed that Fangs was giving his attention to someone else.
- Lastly, Kevin fully believed that Fangs was the one who killed Midge, and he totally sided with Moose and joined him and some other Bulldogs (Riverdale High's football team) in the "Dark Circle" led by Reggie, and they went on to take revenge on the Southside.
- Side Note: Fangs deserves better, and I rather ship him with Sweet Pea than Kevin. I like the relationship between Fangs and Sweet Pea better. #Swangs
Why I ship Kevin and Joaquin:
- Joaquin was exactly what Kevin wanted: a non-closeted boyfriend who's so sweet, caring, loving, proud to be seen with him by everyone, and always willing to be romantic and affectionate with him in public. He gave Kevin so much love and made him so happy, and he talked about Kevin all the time with his good friend Fangs (Fangs even told Kevin this). He was also willing to help Kevin's friends.
- I love how Kevin and Joaquin were romantic, affectionate and sexual with each other, and also protective of each other.
- Yes, Joaquin truly was in love with Kevin and cared about him, despite that he had to do what his gang leader/boss FP ordered him to do when FP needed help. He didn't even care that he was letting FP down by being affectionate and sexual with Kevin, and he was even brave enough to stand up for Kevin against FP. I think this is definitely something that proves how much Joaquin loved and cared for Kevin.
- Rob Raco said this about his character Joaquin, "For as dangerous as his life can be, I think he's a lot more sensitive than he seems. In my eyes, Kevin is his hopeful light that proves that love can exist in his darker world."
- Rob also has mentioned several times that Joaquin would fight for Kevin. He even said this, "Joaquin is a pretty powerful snake, and I think a snakebite could kill a Moose."
- Joavin has been the best Kevin ship and the only valid Kevin ship, and I really want this back. I really hope they do bring Joaquin back for Season 3; I strongly feel that he deserves a second chance with his hopeful light.
- Side Note: That whole Jason Blossom situation wasn't really Joaquin's fault, FP dragged him into the cover-up and that's all. Though, the only purpose of the cover-up was to save Jughead from Clifford Blossom who threatened to kill Jughead the same way he did to his own son Jason, if FP exposed the truth about Jason's murder or ordered Joaquin to do so. And, FP played a bigger part in the cover-up than Joaquin did.
Side note: I'm really glad that Kevin and Chic never became a thing, and it's thanks to Betty. But again, I also hate Kevin and Moose together.
