I think we'll get to see Joaquin in Season 3. Besides those apparent clues at Joaquin's reappearance, the whole Riverdale fandom loves Rob Raco and his character Joaquin, and they all got overjoyed when Joaquin returned late in Season 2. Even Rob himself is so fond of his own character Joaquin.
I'm sure Rob wouldn't post all that content related to Joaquin, Joavin, and Riverdale in general, if he wouldn't be back. He did the same thing before he returned late in Season 2.
So many people ship Kevin and Joaquin. I've seen so many Joavin appreciation posts and tweets, and so many Joavin fanart, sketches, fanfics, aesthetics, photo edits, and video edits created by fans. I've also been noticing so many people posting and tweeting that they miss Kevin and Joaquin together and want them to reunite.

It made me very happy when Rob Raco, the actor who plays Joaquin, stated this, "Joaquin is a pretty powerful snake, and a snakebite could kill a Moose.", when a girl asked him about Kevin and Joaquin in Season 3.
I'm taking this as another sign that Joaquin will be in Season 3. I'm sure he wouldn't comment if he wouldn't be back. And, I know he said the same thing on one of his Instalives just before Joaquin returned late in Season 2.
They started filming Season 3 last week. Rob posted this pic of himself in a grooming trailer on his Instagram story just a couple of days ago; he placed his "Joaquin" emoji on it. This must be a good sign! He always used this emoji 💁🏻 in his Joaquin tweets and posts before, and now he's started using it again.
It looks like Rob has gotten one of those Riverdale actors' chairs that the regular cast members have on set and it even has his name on it. I can see the O which is the last letter of his last name Raco, and the N which is the last letter of Joaquin - the name of his character on Riverdale. Has he become a season regular too? And... "Let's fall in love" - Can this be a sign that Joavin is back? 🤔 I really hope so!

As a Joavin stan, I'll always root for Joavin, for me and all the fellow Joavin stans, and for Rob Raco too (he's so fond of his character Joaquin and he ships Joavin so much as well).
My boy Joaquin deserves to live a normal life and be happy. He is a sweetheart and a good person at heart. His heart was actually too pure for everything that FP had put him through. No matter what, he has truly loved and cared for Kevin. And he was also willing to help Kevin's friends. Kevin managed to look beyond Joaquin's darkness and saw his sweet, softer side, and he was a hopeful light for Joaquin.
Rob said this about Joaquin, "For as dangerous as his life can be, I think he's a lot more sensitive than he seems. In my eyes, Kevin is his hopeful light that proves that love can exist in his darker world."
Joaquin was genuinely so loving, caring, sweet and romantic with Kevin, he was really proud to be seen with him by everyone, and he was always willing to be affectionate and even sexual with him in public. He made Kevin so happy by giving him all his love for him, and he even talked about Kevin all the time with his friend Fangs (Fangs even told Kevin this when they first met at Riverdale High). Plus, he doesn't have an excessive two-timing history. This is the kind of boyfriend that Kevin deserves.
Rob also has mentioned several times that Joaquin would fight for Kevin. He even said this, "Joaquin is a pretty powerful snake, and I think a snakebite could kill a Moose."
Joaquin and Kevin deserve an even better love story, and this is my biggest wish for Season 3.
During Seasons 1 and 2... Moose cheated on his girlfriend Midge with Kevin (more than once), and he chose Midge over Kevin. Moose was never willing to actually be with Kevin while Midge was still alive. So, he used Kevin...he was giving Kevin hope and then ditching him, and he only went back to Kevin when Midge died.
Late in Season 2, it seemed as if Moose was bringing out the worst in Kevin. They bonded over their hatred for the Southside, and they were involved in Reggie's "Dark Circle" together. They took part in targeting the Serpents and vandalizing the Southside for no good reason, and they got away with it. Kevin was totally out of character in this case.
In the finale of Season 2, the kiss in the men's restroom was when Moose was mourning the loss of Midge. He might later play this off and ignore it ever happened. It seems as if Kevin is just a rebound for him.
This is what Casey Cott has revealed so far about Kevin's storyline in Season 3: Kevin and Moose start dating in the beginning of Season 3, but their relationship gets complicated. Moose wants to stay in the closet, but Kevin doesn't want to hide behind closed doors. Kevin tries to push Moose out of the closet, but Moose is too ashamed to be seen with Kevin in public, and he's unwilling to give Kevin what he wants.
Midge's name was in that stupid playbook Chuck had, and Moose was still scoring points from her even when they were long dating.
Moose sided with Chuck, when Chuck carried out the Veronica slut shaming incident.
Not only did Moose cheat on Midge with Kevin, he also cheated with Cheryl at Jughead's birthday party.

I've found out that the original script for Season 2 Episode 14 ('Chapter Twenty-Seven: The Hills Have Eyes') contained a storyline in which a guy named Ashton takes Kevin out on a date. However, this whole Ashton story then got canceled and so it never happened on the show. So Ashton doesn't exist, sadly for Kevin fans.
This would have been much better than all the trouble with Moose that Kevin was put through. But I guess the writers just wanted to cause more drama.
